The pharma tech foundation fighting counterfeit drugs and reshaping pharmaceutical & healthcare fields.
The Tech Pharma Foundation
The Tech Pharma Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, focused on enabling transparent & safe trade of medicines as well as on fighting against counterfeit drugs. We strives towards help building transparency & trust to empower the whole supply chain from manufacturing to dispensing.
We are committed to supporting other organizations, small and large, that engage and expand Tech Pharma ecosystem. We also support other non-profit & governmental organizations by means of science, technology, and global compliance all with the purpose of benefiting public health and the patient.
Indeed, we aim to seed innovative projects that have measurable impact on the Tech Pharma ecosystem. As such, we actively identify educational and research institutions, developers, and enthusiasts from all over the world as they work to advance the project. The Foundation is particularly interested in providing seed funding to help launch new projects. Although we will consider any proposal that may benefit the Trade Pharma marketplace and ecosystem, we are initially targeting a couple key areas for grantmaking.
And finally, the Foundation intend to donate wisely and safely to causes we care about and to other non-profit groups after making sure that you truly understand the type of organization that we are giving to and verify that it’s a legitimate non-profit.
The Tech Pharma Impact Fund
The Tech Pharma Impact Fund is the branch of The Foundation that oversees the complete administrative grant-making process for individuals, family offices, and corporations. It develops sustainable financial resources to fulfill its mission, and to ensure the continuity of charitable organizations supported by our donors.
The Fondation is structured as a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF). Indeed, a DAF is one of the most powerful vehicle in philanthropy and we have chosen this model for our a non-profit to support more efficiently the United Nations SDGs philanthropic giving & of the World Health Organization Global Action Plan to leverage the enormous reach, experience and expertise of the global health community to accelerate progress towards SDG3. We actually support directly SDG3 and contributes to the SDG9, SDG10, and SDG17.
The Tech Pharma Impact Fund:
Empowers individuals to realize their own charitable interests through donor advised philanthropic funds ;
Provides grants for innovative ideas and charitable projects in many areas with focus on Technology & Pharma / Biotech oriented projects ;
Is trusted by high net worth individuals, and small businesses to manage their charitable funds.
Technology areas of interest
While some pharma & healthcare organizations still rely on age-old technologies, savvy teams should invest in technologies such as (not limlited to) Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Analytics, Blockchain, Additive Manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR) & Virtual Reality (VR), Genomics and Robotics for more efficient and transparent pharmaceutical trade and for better supply chain management.

Decentralised data to empower people
It’s no real secret that the pharmaceutical industry is in need of some major upgrades. One glaring problem is the $220 billion worth of counterfeit drugs that plague the market. The current system can thereby create the opportunity for discrepancies in tracking. The result of this problem is a market that is inundated with these “blood diamonds” of pharmaceuticals. Blockchain solutions to real-world problems are springing up every day. Many sectors follow suite and the pharmaceutical industry is no exception and is looking to be “blockchained” too.
It is a fact that there is an obvious lack of communication between pharmaceuticals makers and players of the pharma-process. This is where the Foundation can be a huge step up for utilizing the Blockchain technology to build transparency & trust and empower the whole supply chain from manufacturing to dispensing. Besides, Track & Trace related solutions label every unit with a code that includes a serial number, and with a tamper-evident seal if needed. Also, items can be aggregated into the next level of packaging.
The Foundation have the aim to advise primarily Trade Pharma Network as well as non-profits & Governmental bodies but also pharmaceutical companies during the entire manufacturing process with respect to how they can comply with regulations and which requirements they need to fulfill. As a partner to the pharmaceutical industry, the Foundation takes a holistic approach in order to provide the best possible support to partners, whether it is a matter of process, production, or packaging requirements.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) we are supporting
To transform our world more efficiently, we are now Global Goals Supporter to achieve the UN's SDGs. We support directly SDG3 and contributes to the SDG9, SDG10, and SDG17 (out of 17 goals):
We are driving change by catalyzing the economic benefits of transparency.
Many countries and regions have strict regulations to protect patients from counterfeit drugs. These obligate pharmaceutical manufacturers to secure packages against tampering and to provide specific labelling. In the EU, for example, Directive 2011/62/EU for the safety of medicinal products entered into force on February 2019 and is posing challenges to manufacturers: If they cannot fulfil the sweeping requirements, they will lose their market access.
If we take a closer look at the pharma industry, we see a sector that has to partially reinvent itself due to changing regulations.
The Tech Pharma Foundation announced lately the formation of a new Global Ambassador Program to reach out to pharmaceutical & healthcare organizations and their respective communities in a concerted effort to encourage the ongoing adoption of the Blockchain, amongst other technologies, to take the trade of medicines to the next level. We this are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for this program.
